Englewood Sidewalk Sale
The
City of Englewood held its Annual Sidewalk Sale last week and was enjoyed
by residents in the neighboring vicinity, including Mayor Wildes (center)
who joined Michael O'Donnell (right) and Sean Smith (left) of Green Market
Fundraising, Inc. The group is involved in fundraising for students and
the environment. Green Marketing gave away free bulbs (Mayor Wildes holding
one in photo) called: "CFL": stands for "compact fluorescent lights,"
which are the gold standard in energy efficiency in today's market as
they reduce energy usage by up to 75 percent vs. traditional incandescent
light bulbs. The Englewood Sidewalk Sale is one of the longest running Sidewalk Sales in New Jersey and one of the finest. Customers from all over the tri-state area attended the Sidewalk Sale. There were over 70 participants at this year's annual Sidewalk Sale, including Mayor Wildes' Englewood Environmental Commission. The commission was distributing materials related to the protection and development of natural resources in the City. Co-chairs of the commission are Crystal Brown and Carolyn Stenzel. Both were appointed by Mayor Wildes and present at the sidewalk sale.
